Ron Rice and his partner, Ayuba Gufwan, have built and donated 2300 wheelchairs to children and adults crippled by polio. As far as they know, this is more than any other organization in Nigeria, a country with half the population of the U.S. Nigeria has more polio victims than any other country in the world, and polio is increasing there because of opposition to polio vaccinations by Muslim religious leaders.
