Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano erupted again this week in a national park, prompting a gas warning from officials. Kilauea erupted briefly Sunday night in a part of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park that remains off-limits to the public. Eruptions in the volcano’s Central East Rift Zone continued Monday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey’s Hawaiian Volcano Observatory. As of Tuesday, eruptive activity was increasing, but officials said there was no immediate threat to homes or nearby infrastructure.
