BOY GEORGE in Chile News coverage and performance on Siempre Lunes 1993

Boy George’s first (?) trip to Chile, was to promote the release of the single “The Crying Game“, as documented here by a couple of news segments. He had just completed two sell-out dates in Argentina, which were followed by a playback concert for the National Television De Chile program, “Siempre Lunes“. George was one of only TWO English artists to perform on this show, the other was the following episode, Duran Duran. This is one of my favorite performances from George’s entire career- he seems to be very happy and enjoying himself. Or maybe he’s laughing at the absurdity of miming Culture Club songs again after all these years, as his new band and the new arrangements of these songs they played sound nothing like the original versions.
