Artistic Family Aka Togneri (1947)

Titles read: “ARTISTIC FAMILY“. Bloomsbury, London. Various shots of Mr Togneri and his family at work, making plaster sculptures from gelatine moulds. A worker pulls the moulds from a set sculpture. It is of a glamorous woman’s head - I’d like one of these! It is placed on a table with several identical models, plus several models of dogs. Other female heads are painted by other members of the family. Could be mannequin heads for hat shops. Pan across a group of finished models of all sizes made by the family. A man works on a larger than life full-sized model of a woman, destined for a shop window and very glam. She is naked and has a massive pompadour hairdo. A female figure without arms or head is carried out of the workshop and loaded onto the back of a hay-filled truck with other models. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
