Twenty Thousand Years Ago! (1931)

United States of America. Introductory intertitle reads: “Using specially designed equipment these unusual pictures were made of the discovery of prehistoric Mastodon fossils, in the depths of Wakulla Springs, Florida.“ L/S of the Springs. M/S of a man having diving helmet placed on his shoulders. He is lowered into the water. Underwater shots of the man at the bottom of the Springs, he picks up a large bone. The man is then helped to the surface. Another underwater shot. The bone is raised up out of the lake. Shots of the diver are intercut with shots of the men on the surface wakpulling up the bones. “Mr C. Ponton, the well-known American Geologist, explains the unique collection.“ Four men stand on a dock looking at the very large dinosaur bones that have been salvaged.
