Several shots of a procession of clergymen and altar boys making their way to the West Door of Southwark Cathedral Church of St Saviour and St Mary for the enthronement of the new Bishop of Southwark, Dr Bertram Simpson. There is snow on the ground. Among those present are Archbishop Germinosk of the Greek Church, Lord Lieutenant of Surrey, Chairman of the London County Council, the Bishop of Woolwich and the Dean of Westminster, Bishop Le Billier. Dark shots inside the cathedral show the new bishop blessing the large congregation. Commentator says he was formerly the Bishop of Kensington.
