Good Housekeeping (1954)

London. Various shots of workers at the Good Housekeeping Institute testing different home appliances for performance. First a woman cooks Swiss Chard (looks like cabbage greens) in three different saucepans. The cooked Chard is put onto three separate plates and tasted by another woman. We then see a woman testing a gas grill by putting three slices of white bread in the grill pan, then examining it for even browning. A man puts a saucepan containing a thermometer on a gas stove. A woman stains teacloths by pouring a mixture of coffee, vinegar, tea and blackcurrant juice onto them. She then puts the cloths in different washing machines to test their performance.
