The Parson Postman (1953)

No titles. Harlow, Essex. Various shots show the Reverend Wilfred Howarth working in the sorting room of a post office. We hear he was driven by hardship to take this job. The parson rides off on his bicycle to deliver the mail. He visits several two housing estates, so new that the grass has barely grown on the lawns. The Reverend arrives back at the vestry of St Mary the Virgin at Matry (sp?) in Essex and puts on his cassock. He takes wine and communion bread from a cupboard and puts them on a table near the altar. He places a bible in the centre of the altar and walks out of the picture with hands clasped.
