Tea With A Ballerina (1945)

Titles read: “TEA with a BALLERINA - Nina Tarakanova and friend“. London. In the Knightsbridge flat of famous ballet dancer Nina Tarakanova, we see the ballerina dancing about and helping a little girl called Tessa Blore to try out some exercises. They have tea, and Tessa wanders over to a sofa to where some photographs of Nina are spread out. Sequence showing Nina performing an excerpt from her famous dance, ’The Fairy Queen’s Dance’ - probably filmed in the Pathe Studio. She wears a long floaty gown over her tights and a flowered head-dress and does several pirouettes. Back in the flat, Nina leads Tessa from the table. Tessa stops to grab the piece of cake that she hasn’t had time to eat. Note: film used for telecine transfer is quite scratched. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
