Title reads: “Princesses with Girl Guides“. Location of events unknown. Various shots of Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II) in Sea Ranger uniform and Princess Margaret as Girl Guide. They are spending a short holiday at Guide Camp. The Princesses and the other Guides run and take shelter in slit trench after warning of an air raid (“buzz bomb alert“). Good shots of the Princesses in the trench shelter giggling with other girls their age. Various shots of Princess Margaret helping prepare camp meal in mess tin. Various shots of Princess Elizabeth doing the washing-up with other Rangers. Narrator comments that with the King’s absence in Italy, it is Elizabeth’s first day as a Councillor of State. Various shots of Princess Elizabeth at the tiller of a rowing boat. Various shots of girls gathered around the campfire. Queen Elizabeth (later Queen Mother) joins them.
