We see the students in a classroom, being instructed by J W Lloyd-Alford on the theory of long-jumping with the aid of stick men drawn on a blackboard. On the field, Chief National Coach Geoff Dyson instructs the students, as Empire Games semi-finalist Robbie Brightwell demonstrates the sprint start.
