London.
John Searle pumps up his bicycle tyre in The Mall. He then adjusts the seat back of the bike he has invented - the ’armchair-safety-cycle’ - and rides off. Several shots of him riding along. It looks quite comfortable, with a lower seat than on a usual bike. Two men look on as he goes by; two girls smile.
John pulls up at traffic lights (at Whitehall?) then starts off again, turning a corner with his right hand out.
Note: cameraman’s notes on file.
