Titles read: “KING COAL!“ Trieste, Italy. Various shots of a new Italian coal mine. General view panning over the pit head workings and the piles of coal waiting for shipment beside the small harbour attached to the mine. Various good shots of miners going down to coal face to begin their shift and of them at work cutting coal by hand and with the aid of the latest coal cutting machinery. They shovel the coal onto conveyor belts which in turn load it into coal trucks which are pulled to the surface by a small diesel engine. Various shots of the coal trains taking coal to the harbour and of it being loaded directly into waiting barges.
