Greek Orthodox Easter Good Friday in Santorini

We are lucky to experience this unique way of the “Epitafios” celebration at Pyrgos Santorini Greece 2022. The whole village was lighting up with more than 6,300 aluminium cans, stuffed with flammable materials and placing them on every house, every rooftop, every church, every path. It’s definitely an unforgettable atmosphere, truly a magical sight.
