At least 22 people, most of them women and children, were killed in an Israeli strike on a school in the Zeitoun area of Gaza City on Saturday, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. Another 30 were wounded in the attack. The Israeli army stated that the target was a Hamas “command and control center“ embedded in what was previously a school, claiming that measures were taken to limit civilian harm. The Gaza Health Ministry also reported that five workers were killed, and five others were wounded in Israeli strikes on the ministry’s warehouses. The conflict continues to escalate, leaving the region on edge, with 90% of Palestinians in Gaza now displaced according to the UN.
