World leaders stress importance of fighting climate change at 2021 Climate Adaptation Summit

World leaders virtually spoke at the 2021 Climate Adaptation Summit on Monday, stressing the importance of tackling the global climate change problem, and outlined what their nations could do to contribute to the fight. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau delivered a message on planning “for the recovery of tomorrow” for future generations in terms of the COVID-19 aftermath, the economy, and climate change. Trudeau stressed the importance of leaving the planet in good shape for future generations in terms of the state of the global environment. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said as part of his remarks that the country is targeting a capacity of 450 gigawatts of renewable energy by 2030.
