Favorite Posts of 2021: Lunchtime For Our Lake Titicaca Frogs
As this year comes to a close, we’re sharing some of our favorite posts from 2021! Today, we’re highlighting the Lake Titicaca frog video we shared in honor of #WorldWaterFrogDay on April 1.
Native to Bolivia and Peru, this critically endangered species is the world’s largest entirely aquatic frog and provides an important measure of ecosystem health for people and wildlife. The funky little frogs in this video are descendants of the first ever frogs to successfully reproduce in a North American Zoo, and it all happened right here at Denver Zoo! Learn more about our conservation work with this species both here and in Peru:
