This is “CastIe on a Cloud“ from the musical “Les Miserable“, but I changed the lyrics in some parts to make it suitable for Kovu.^^ The voice is mine. :-)
Kovu suffers from the way his mother treats him and wants him to become a leader in the future. For that reason he escapes into a world where everything’s allright and dreams of a lioness who treats him fondly - and especially doesn’t sing lullabies that scare him like Zira does...
Geez, I shouldn’t make (Cub) mean he hardly EVER talks! Not much material...
Here is what I sang:
There is a castle on a cloud,
I like to go there in my sleep.
That pride I will not have to lead,
Not in my castle on a cloud.
There is a place that’s full of prey,
There are a hundred other cubs.
Nobody roars or talks too loud,
Not in my castle on a cloud.
There is a lady in that pride,
Holds me and sings a lullaby.
She’s nice to hear
And she’s soft to touch.
She says: „Kovu, I love you very much.“
I know a place where no one’s lost,
I know a place where no one cries.
Crying at all is not allowed,
Not in my castle on a cloud.
To all those with very good ears: I know it’s not perfect, it’s really not my subject, but I never promised it to be perfect. ;-)
