Mufasa = Nala’s father Sarabi = Nala’s mother Kiara clips = Nala Plot: Nala is a princess and Kovu is a commoner. They are friends but Kovu is secretly in love with her. One day when they’re out he confesses his feelings and she returns them. They secretly start a relationship together. Months later Mufasa finds out about it and confronts Nala about it. He tries forbidding her but she just runs away. ( a few days pass ) Nala has somewhat distanced herself from Kovu making him wonder if she’s been pretending to love him instead of hurting his feelings. When he asks her if she ever loved him she can’t answer. She knows it’s wrong she has these feelings for him but she can’t help it. So she remains silent which makes Kovu angry and start shouting desperately wanting to know if everythings been in vain. Nala runs off crying, guilty because she supposed to not return the feelings. She heads to a nearby cave and begins to cry but soon her mother finds her. Sarabi tries talking to her but Nala knows exactly what she’s going to say. She’s fed up with her unaccepting family and snaps on her mother. They argue and soon Nala runs off again. ( off screen ) Kovu listens to the whole conversation and realizes that her family is the one messing things up.
