To a Purple Cloud a la Johannes Kreisler (Daniel Edwards)

Johannes Kreisler is a fictional composer created by . Hoffmann, the same writer behind “The Nutcracker“ which would become the famous ballet by Tchaikovsky. “Kreisleriania“ is the name of a Robert Schumann piece that took cues from this character. Based on a particular chapter from the book “Kreisleriania,“ I found a chord progression and melodic description upon which I attempt to create this piece, to reflect the personality of a composer whom Howard Goodall would consider Pythonesque. This is my first pass, maybe I’ll give it another try in the future.
