SUBSCRIBE: PARIS - While Donatella Versace hasn’t showcased couture in Paris since 2004, she made quite a comeback with her 15-piece Atelier Versace line during Paris Haute Couture for Spring/Summer 2012. But would we expect any different from the fashion dynamite who was responsible for HM’s most successful hi/low collaboration to date? She wowed us with a set constructed with mirrored steps that was just as glistening as the dresses themselves. Each girl walked down gingerly in sky-high Versace gladiator stilettos, giving the audience a breathtaking glimpse of the beautifully beaded works of art in colors like silver, copper, gold, and even orange. Each dress was tight to showcase every curve of a woman’s silhouette with high-end beads and pailettes covering each piece. Metallic insets gave the dresses a sculpted touch.
