Flight on DODO to the lighthouse

I fly in gta3 on DODO - Полет на ДОДО к маяку 📢 I don’t think there’s a lot of gamers out there who would decisively land a protagonist on the Portland Lighthouse as part of a regular game - i.e., without resorting to modifications (although this would hardly help). I say this because I still SUCCESSFUL, and I know from my own experience how much time, grades, achievements, “flying” skills, patience and luck went into it ... And what turned out to be. The fact is that the Portland lighthouse is, in essence, one graphic glitch, more precisely, a purely decorative static object in the design of the game, only the visibility of a piece of land. Landing on the cliff where the lighthouse is located, and someone’s presence on it, apparently, was not intended by the developers. At the same time, however, it’s not difficult to guess at a glance: the banks of the cliff are high and almost sheer, you can’t drive on it from anywhere (or even jump) and there’s nowhere to land on a boat. The main problem is that the “surface“ of the cliff is not at all what is seen from the side - in reality it is a collection of smooth, “slippery“, and most importantly - INVISIBLE mathematical planes, assumed at a dark or other angle of inclination to the horizontal surface and visibly separated from the visible (depicted) surface of the object at the presence, insignificant and very distant distance. That is, the feeling is like that, one feels the cliff together with the lighthouse is covered with the detection of a gap of detection of transparent glass made of unbreakable glass, repeating its contours. In practice, all this means that it is impossible to move freely around the island: the hero is steadily sliding down, even standing still - it’s good if it’s on a relatively safe side, and not straight into the sea! Having slipped down from the lighthouse, you can’t go up, and the staircase is just a graphic fiction: you can’t go ON its steps - only slightly ABOVE them and only down. (Not an island, but a downright visual parody of Mandelstam’s verse: “We live, not smelling the country under us...“!) On the island, there is still one single point - on the lower platform at the rise of the stairs, where you can simply stand on solid “ground“ without risking slipping into the sea. If it starts to twitch to the side, then you will find a deadly bath with an emergency resuscitation in the hospital. Why did I even go there? - It seems to me (and I still hold this opinion) that the lighthouse is an ideal place where you could hide the “Easter egg“ (a sort of “Easter Island“ with a lighthouse idol in the middle!). I did not find anything of the kind there, although almost everything that is there is dense. I did not go inside the lighthouse: the painted door turned out to be “locked”. But it was still interesting to look around and shoot with FRAPS. How did I get there? “Used the only option available in GTA-3: airdrop one way or another. In the absence of a helicopter and a parachute, only the pop-up “Dodo“ remains - you yourself understand: even before the delivery of the landing force! ! So, in many ways, the problem boiled down to how to dampen speed and prevent it from gaining altitude (and at the same time not collapse into the sea). Another problem is where to land the plane. The lower platform - it is visible from above from the side of Don Salvatore’s estate - turned out to be completely unsuitable: firstly, it is slippery, with a preference towards the sea and there is nothing to catch on; secondly, you can not slow down, resting on the steep base of the cliff, because. the plane bounces off him like a ball bounces off a basketball backboard. In principle, you can land the plane “nose up“ right on the steps of the stairs. Once I succeeded - I just need to have time to jump out of the cab, because. inevitably slip down and plop into the sea. However, this is unproductive, because to walk up the stairs to the lighthouse itself is no longer in the specialty (on the occasion described above), and our hero, even without moving, will equally slowly move down - like on a subway escalator. This is at best, and at worst, it will slip on a rock and fall into the sea. Only one thing remains: the nearest sit down on a small (but fenced with a parapet - which is very handy!) UPPER platform - a significant one near the lighthouse itself. Which I finally managed to do after many unsuccessful predictions. (And when Claude got out of the plane near the lighthouse, I, having assessed the disposition, realized that I was just EXTREMELY lucky that the plane was stuck in this very place!) These are videos - they are easy and quick to download and don’t weigh much. You can view them by placing them in the GTA3 User Files folder; after this game, you can load any of the saved game files and the F3 application. ..... Алехандро,
