With the popularity of parallel blending it nice to see an offering that comes from a different angle, blurring the usual lines as well as blurring some frequencies in the process. The XO Variable Crossover from UK based Great Eastern FX CO. is a new take which involves splitting the low frequencies from the highs, feeding them to two fx loops which can host whatever pedals or processors you like, and then cross fading the section where they meet. In essence XO gives you a bunch of cool way to yield some new tones from your existing gear and garnish your music with flavours you couldn’t previously. Enjoy!
