Episode 10 - Lets Talk About Disarms! HEMA Instruction Video.

In this video we review some of the disarms I’ve performed in sparring matches. This video does not dig deeply into the plays just yet, but instead provides an overview of a few principals the disarms of Fiore De Liberi tend to share. This is a brief HEMA(Historic European Martial Arts) instruction video on how to get into the mindset of applying disarms with one handed swords such as the arming sword or broadsword and longsword in one hand. We enjoy sword fighting as a combat sport learned from the texts left behind by the masters of the 14th and 15th century, such as the Flower of Battle. Here we explore an introduction into disarms by viewing and discussing some of my own sparring footage where I had chance to try them.
