Arena Geisingen Am Espen 16 , 78187 Geisingen 5th WORLD FREESTYLE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS Geisingen City, Germany Freestyle Skating competitions: FREESTYLE SLALOM: is a segment of skating where skaters combine multiple dances, like moves through lines of cones placed at various intervals. In order for this sport to be complete, skaters will skate to their choice of music to express their “dance“. For competition purposes, participants have to complete their routine through 3 lines of cones with 0.5, 0.8 m and 1.2 m intervals. BATTLE SLALOM: is a segment of freestyle slalom where skaters are in direct confrontation in groups of 3 or 4 competitors. Participants have to complete their runs through 4 lines of cones with 0.5, 0.8 m and 1.2 m intervals. The main emphasis in this competition is about strategy and technical comparison with other skaters of the group.
