Spain: Metal workers’ unrest continues into eight day with clashes through the night

Workers from the metallurgical sector engaged in clashes with policemen in Cadiz, the unrest continued throughout the night into Tuesday morning, marking the eight day of conflict. There was a heavy police presence as cars and policemen patrolled the area overnight, whilst the metal workers made gestures towards and confronted the police officers. Approximately 30,000 employees of the metal sector in Cadiz began an indefinite strike last Tuesday demanding a wage increase and improvements to their working conditions.
