Caravan (Boogie Woogie) - Amanda Lee Swingtet

Recorded at Snakeweed Studios, Singapore on 7 April 2024. This is a specially arranged boogie woogie rendition of Caravan, originally composed by Puerto Rican trombonist Juan Tizol and Duke Ellington. Though Caravan is more often performed to a Latin groove, it is such a great tune to stretch and experiment with and I wanted to challenge myself to do something different with it. Some of you may pick out influences of Mary Lou Williams’ Roll Em in this arrangement!
