Since 2012 her and guitarist Robert Earl Thomas have been co-creators of the project; developing their somber, transcendental sound in a symbiotic musical relationship. The band’s most recent release “Expect the Best“ showcases the sound they’ve been building since the beginning: twangy, melancholy guitar work meant to elevate Hamilton’s tender, inquisitive vocal delivery culminating in what the band calls “cowboy grunge“.
