Holocaust survivor, Joseph Klinghoffer - Lviv pogroms

Joseph Klinghoffer was born in 1903 in Rădăuți, Romania. The family moved to Lemberg (today Lviv, Ukraine) before World War I. Joseph taught modern languages in Lublin. When the war broke out, Joseph, his wife, his parents and brothers were living in Lwow (Lviv), which passed from Soviet to German rule in 1941. In this excerpt, Joseph describes the first month of the German occupation and the pogroms organized by Ukrainian nationalists.
