Met Police deploy patrols targeting violence against women to ’rebuild’ confidence

The Met Police has issued safety advice in the wake of the Sarah Everard verdict and the murder of Sabina Nessa in London. Deputy Assistant Commissioner Jane Connors said the force ’completely understands’ why confidence is low and explained how it intends to rebuild trust. Connors also outlined a number of safety measures people can take if they are approached by a plain clothed officer and they feel uncomfortable about the situation.
