Liszt Piano Concerto No. 1 - Charles Rosen, soloist; Stokowski conducts

Leopold Stokowski appeared at the BBC Proms in London on five occasions. At his last Proms appearance in 1966 the concert included Liszt’s 1st Piano Concerto in what seems to be the only extant performance of the work conducted by Stokowski. Charles Rosen was the soloist and the orchestra was the New Philharmonia (10th September 1966).
