Most Powerful Bentley Ever! New 782hp Conti GT Speed vs The Alps

The new Bentley Continental GT Speed will cross continents with ease. Whether the world’s uber-wealthy still do such things in big luxo GTs rather than in SUVs or via private jets is another matter, but should you ever need to warp from one bolthole to another, this fourth-gen Conti GT would be perfect. However, is it worse elsewhere? See, it’s now a hybrid. Which means although official figures put emissions at just 29 g/km of CO2 when it’s simultaneously the most powerful road-going Bentley ever, there’s added weight. And Bentley’s Conti GT was never in the bantamweight class to begin with. Call it two and half tonnes now. So, although power is up to 782hp, is it now a less sporting, less dynamic driving experience?
