It’s Kids Academy, and welcome back to our channel! In this educational video for children, we will read aloud a story “Homes“. More interesting short stories for children you can find on our channel. Stay tuned! A home is where people live. Homes protect us from heat and cold, from rain and wind, and snow. In the old days people didn’t know how to build houses. They lived in caves and simple huts. Later they learned to make their homes from different materials, such as wood and stone. Some homes are small. Others are big. A small house can be home for one or several families. Big apartment buildings have many homes inside. A lot of different people live there. A motorhome has wheels. It’s great for people who like to travel. They can drive around in their own home! And some people even live on the water! Their homes are called houseboats. Not only people need homes. Animals do too. Wolves, foxes, hedgehogs, mice, and other animals live in burrows. It means they make holes in the ground. Ants build anthills. Wasps make their own paper by chewing wood, and build their homes from that paper! There is an animal that doesn’t need a home because it’s already born with it. This animal is a snail. It lives inside its shell.
