1 RIFLES Mentoring Malian Soldiers

When British soldiers joined the EU training mission in Mali some feared it could see Britain and other nations getting drawn into the fighting but that has not happened. Their focus has remained on building up Mali’s own forces to fight for themselves. In the second of our reports Laura Hawkins looks at the British contribution, the troops of 1st Battalion The Rifles and their mentoring mission with the Malian soldiers.
