Numbers from 20 to 100 Numbers from 20 to 90 are formed with the suffix -ty like 20 (twenty) and have the first stressed syllable. In most cases it is the main difference that help us distinguish them from numbers from 13 to 19 by ear. You must remember these numbers: 20 - twenty 30 - thirty 40 - forty 50 - fifty 60 - sixty 70 - seventy 80 - eighty 90 - ninety You can say the numbers that are between round numbers this way: 20 1= 21 (twenty-one) 30 3=33 (thirty-three) 90 9=99 (ninety-nine) 100 is called “one hundred”. When you add numbers to 100 don’t forget “and” 100 4=104 (one hundred and four). In American English “and” is normally omitted.
