A compilation of projection mapping shows and performances from 2009 to early 2014 - a period when projection mapping was increasingly adopted by designers worldwide as a new storytelling medium, typically used for product launches and stage design.
The video features works of different complexity by projection mapping pioneers (i.e. international visual label AntiVJ, UK’s immersive, US’s V Squared Labs) and innovators across the globe (Polish studio White Kanga, Cirque du Soleil’s artist “A Dandypunk“ and many others), and highlight some key projects that exposed projection mapping to the masses (Box by Bot & Dolly and Marshmallow Laser Feast’s PS3 projection mapping episodes).
This is, of course, just a small selection of many content creators and technology studios that have helped define projection mapping as a medium.
The featured shows have been made using a wide range of tools - AfterEffects, Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, Maya, Blender and the likes for content
