Restoration a chef’s knife with the broken stainless steel blade.
This knife was abandoned in the garden of my house among the plants and is made of excellent stainless steel Tramontina brand, the main problem is that the blade was broken and in order not to temper it and ruin the edge I had to cut it very carefully so as not to raise its temperature too much. The problem of tempering the steel is very important because the blade will dull very quickly, this will cause the knife to tear or break instead of getting a clean and neat cut.
Apart from repairing the steel blade, I removed the old plastic handle and replaced it with a new solid wood handle with bronze rivets that I made from some old keys I had.
