Man arrested for driving on LGBT road

A man has been arrested in Palm Beach County, Florida for allegedly ‘vandalizing’ an LGBT-themed crosswalk by driving over it aggressively. The 19-year-old was seen on camera appearing to perform ‘burnouts’ (spinning wheels while stationary) on the crosswalk, although it’s not known if this was deliberate. Police said in a statement that the alleged reckless driving ‘caused significant damage to the streetscape painting, which serves as a symbol of unity and inclusivity for the LGBTQ community.’ Had it been a regular crosswalk, apparently it would have been OK. After ‘working on the case’ for an entire week, police eventually arrested the driver when he turned himself in. He now faces charges of felony criminal mischief and reckless driving.
