Boston Dynamics reveal oddly flexible humanoid robot

Atlas can walk, it can talk (probably), and it can shuffle away awkwardly like it’s mocking you. Boston Dynamics have unveiled their latest robot, and this one isn’t a robot dog with a weapon of mass destruction taped to its back. The new Atlas is a fully electric, humanoid robot ‘designed for real world applications.’ Its full range of skills has yet to be demonstrated, but even the way it gets up is impressive (especially if you’re over the age of 40). The electric Atlas is set to replace the Atlas HD, which was the first robot that could do parkour, and is stronger, more agile and easily more adorable than its predecessor. Boston Dynamics says it is ‘uniquely capable of tackling dull, dirty and dangerous tasks,’ so presumably its first deployment will be as housekeeper for Hunter Biden.
