RT has obtained POV bodycam footage of a Russian soldier storming a Ukrainian trench, and it’s the kind of combat where armchair experts tell you isn’t what war is really like. The time and location of the clip are unknown, but the trench appears to be well-manned and well-armed. The soldier enters the trench and tentatively fires at the Ukrainian troops in a dugout at its end. The Ukrainians tentatively fire back. The soldier is exposed on two sides, and battle is raging overhead – for him and his companion, there simply is no turning back. He pulls a grenade, fumbles slightly with the pin, then makes the throw of a lifetime: over the top, and back down into the dugout. They run.
A muffled scream and it is all over. The grenade did its job and cleared out the soldiers. Now, he must do his job and figure out what they were planning. He fires a few warning shots and enters the dugout. Three dead soldiers, one strangely wearing a Norwegian flag. It’s unclear what nationality the man was, and whether it was merely a donated uniform or purchased patch. The other findings in the trench were more clear: a Swedish-British NLAW anti-armor guided missile system and a Swedish AT-4 grenade launcher.
