Cat removed from train despite having a ticket

A curious cat crept through the carriages of a train stopped in Kirov after circumventing its cage, only to be caught by a conductor and chased away. Unfortunately for everyone involved in this feline folly, the cat had a ticket. Twix the Cat was traveling with its owner when it decided, as cats do, to escape the shackles of its carrier and go for a walk on the train, where it was mistaken for a stray. A less than thorough conductor questioned passengers to see if the cat had an owner on board, but somehow failed to question the actual owners and decided to unceremoniously kick the cat off the train (not literally). The cat was left in Kirov station, however the Yekaterinburg-St. Petersburg train did not, separating the owners from their pet rather quickly. The conductor was investigated by police, but ultimately faced no charges. The owners of Twix have launched an appeal for any information, and have posted a reward for his safe return. Meanwhile, Russian Railways have issued a statement that they are conducting an extensive search to bring Twix home, and also hopefully issue him a refund and a ball of string as compensation.
