Building a full scale flying Delorean Part 1: Making the bodywork

This is the first part of the full scale flying Delorean project where I make the complete bodywork out of EPS foam with the help of my ABB IRB6400 robot. After I got my robot to work again (see video here: ) I was looking for a first project i could make with it. At first I thought about building a type of sports car (maybe tesla roadster or similar) but then saw the “Back To The Future“ movie again one night and thought that would be a great project as well. The model would be made out of EPS foam so it would even be light enough to maybe fly. So i started designing the model and did some calculations and it turns out to be actually feasable.
