How Russian Grenade Launcher Doubles as Mini Artillery

The AGS-17 auto grenade launcher combined with drones are now mini artillery by the Russian Armed Forces and Ukrainian military. It’s also known as Playma; Russian for flame, is a 30mm automatic grenade launcher which is often seen in the thick of the fighting in Ukraine. Despite being over 50 years old, this weapon remains a force to be reckoned with and is still used extensively by militaries around the world. In this video, we will explore the history, development, and specifications of the AGS-17 before turning our attention to the innovative tactics employed by Ukrainian and Russian forces using this weapon.
