P.J. Proby - Somewhere

From the 80’s Channel 4 TV show ’The Unforgettables’ P.J. Proby released “Somewhere“ in 1964 and it reached No: 6 in the UK, No: 7 in Australia & No: 17 in Canada. The Song is originally from the 1957 Broadway musical West Side Story. P.J. Proby was born and raised in Texas and is a songwriter as well as having acted in various musical theatre productions, even portraying Elvis Presley. In 1961, Smith changed his stage name from Jett Powers to P.J. Proby, as suggested by fellow songwriter, Sharon Sheeley as it was the name of one of her childhood friends.
