MIG-29 - Mission Rise & Dive

Each flight with a MIG-29 is different in style. Depending on demands of our backseaters pilots confronting them with most high altitude of the day and some aerobatics. G-forces are mostly between -1 g and 7 g. Speed in the air is beween 0 and 2,200 km/h (up to Mach 1,9). You asking “why 0“? This is the “tail slide“ or also known under “hammer“. The aircraft is moving straight up, only steered by engines and then, for some seconds, the jet is standing still (so 0 km/h) before flipping over.
