🔘 Attack is a German Heavy/Power Metal band founded by multi-instrumentalist and singer Ricky van Helden. Founded in Hanover in 1984 by Thomas St. Jones, Andy Kammer and Ricky van Helden, ATTACK recorded their debut album Danger in the Air half a year later. It was followed by a tour of Germany, before the band came out in 1985 with a modified release of their second LP, Return of the Evil, which also garnered attention abroad. After more touring and recording for the third album Beastkiller, Ricky van Helden left Hannover to work with a new line-up (Gerd Sossnierz, guitar, Chreddy Riepert, guitar, “Zacky“ Athanasios Tsoukas, drums) and a recording contract with ZYX.
