00:00 Sarabande S. 66 01:43 Double S. 66 03:11 Gigue S. 72 François Dufault (or Dufaut, c. 1600–c. 1672) penned this Sarabande–Double and Gigue in the French tablature of an 11-course baroque lute. Both facsimiles of period manuscripts and the Souris (S. 66 & 72) editions served as the sources for the present transcriptions for the 10-string guitar of Narciso Yepes, with scordature of the Standard or Normal Tuning of strings 7 (C), 9 (G-sharp), and 10 (F-sharp) to D, G-natural, and F-natural respectively. These transcriptions constitute two of the 60 graded pieces included in the forthcoming method and repertoire book, “An Introduction to the Ten-string Guitar“ (Viktor van Niekerk Editions, 2024).
