I was lucky to catch them before they would retire, though preferrably, I wanted to catch the Azuma. The East Coast Main Line stretches over 393 miles (633 km) from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverley. The line passes through many major towns and cities such as Peterborough, Doncaster, York, Durham and Newcastle and provides magnificent scenery along the route, particularly the Berwick Coast.
