The Beatles, You Can’t Do That. BBC “Saturday Club“ radio broadcast on April 4th 1964.

A “day in the life“ of the Beatles. On March 31st, 1964 the Beatles recorded seven songs for the BBC radio show “Saturday Club“ which aired on April 4th, 1964. In this video I picked “You Can’t Do That“ from the seven songs they performed mainly because it was the newest song performed that day, and because it features a cowbell which you never hear in other live versions of the song. This was probably the first time they performed the song live as well. A great piece of history. All the photos in the video were taken at the Playhouse Theater in London where the songs were recorded for the BBC program on March 31st, 1964. There are no photos available of them actually performing the song, the photos are from a photo shoot before the sessions.
