War Stories: The Last Draftee

Drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, Jeff Mellinger is the last draftee still serving in combat. Having risen to the rank of Command Sergeant Major, he was leading a patrol in which Photojournalist Bob Hite had embedded. Hite, a former Marine, says he has never met a better leader, or better warrior. Mellinger is now retired.
